Description

Nemigen * is a collagen matrix wound dressing that kick starts the healing of non progressive chronic wounds while maintaining moist wound environment. It binds and inactivates the excess matrix metalloproteases (MMPs) which have inhibitory effect on wound healing. The dressing further attracts fibroblast, growth factors, promotes migration of keratinocytes and hence facilitates wound closure.

Where to Use

Management of partial and full thickness acute and chronic wounds including:

  • Diabetic Foot Ulcers
  • Leg Ulcers
  • Burns
  • Pressure Ulcers
  • Donor Sites

Precautions:

  • Wound may appear to be larger during the first several days of treatment due to the reduction of swelling.
  • An increase in drainage may be seen in the first several days of treatment.
  • The product is made from bovine material, DO NOT USE IF ALLERGIC TO BOVINE DERIVED MATERIALS.

Warning:

  • Discontinue use of product and notify your doctor if excessive redness, pain, swelling or blistering occurs.
  • Potential risk of loss of sterility and infection if opened and re-used.
  • Not for implant.

How to Use

Product application:
  • Cleanse the wound
  • Apply medication to the wound if indicated
  • Apply Nemigen*dressing to the wound
  • If wound is dry( without drainage),Nemigen* may be moistened before applying to the wound.
  • Cover with a suitable secondary dressing
  • Use Nemigen* until wound is fully healed
Product Removal:
  1. Change as indicated by the amount of drainage and instructions provided with the absorbent cover dressing.
  2. After removal of the cover dressing, repeat steps under Product Application as needed.
