Description

MilSept® Foam is a sterile, single use, soft, conformable, hydrophilic, non-adherent polyurethane foam dressing containing about 0.5% w/w polyhexamethylene biguanide (PHMB), an agent that supports the infection prevention goals in wound management. The PU foam has a microporous hydrophilic structure that absorbs wound exudate, debrides, kills microbes, and maintains a moist wound healing environment. Supports upto 7 days of exudate absorption and antimicrobial action

How to Use

  • Cleanse and debride the area as necessary. Dry the peri-wound area before applying the dressing
  • Select an appropriately sized dressing where the foam pad is slightly larger than the wound area
  • Centre the dressing on the wound and apply it gently to the wound site. Press the dressing on the surrounding skin by gentle application of pressure.
  • Cover with a suitable secondary dressing to hold the dressing in place or depending on exudate levels
  • May be used under compression
