Description

Nemisorb® Gel is a clear cohesive amorphous hydrogel which rehydrates wounds and stimulates natural enzymes to promote autolytic debridement, thereby preparing the wound bed for healing. Nemisorb® Gel helps prevent delicate new tissue from drying out, thereby supporting a more effective healing process

Where to Use

Pre-Debridement, Debridement & Maintenance Debridement Nemisorb® gel is indicated for the removal of non-viable tissue from undermined, shallow and deep wounds (nil to low exudate) like

  • Leg ulcers,
  • Diabetic foot ulcers,
  • Pressure ulcers,
  • Malignant wounds,
  • Burns, graft or donorsites,
  • Surgical wounds,
  • Acute wounds,
  • Amputations and Fungating ulcers

How to Use

Application:

Remove any secondary dressing, irrigate/rinse wound with advanced wound cleanser (Milsept®)/ sterile saline solution/ appropriate procedure.

  • Remove protective cap from the nozzle. Keeping the nozzle tip clear of the wound surface,
  • gently press the base of the pack to dispense gel into the wound avoiding overspill onto
  • surrounding skin.
  • Smooth Nemisorb® gel over surface of wound to a depth of approximately 5mm (0.2inch)
  • Cover with secondary dressing of choice.

Removal:

Any remaining Nemisorb® gel can be rinsed off with sterile saline solution. If difficult to remove, soak the area with sterile water/ saline solution to soften the dressing & facilitate removal. On necrotic or sloughy wounds, it is recommended that you change the dressing at least every 3 days.On clean granulating wounds, the frequency of dressing change depends on the clinical condition of the wounds and the amount of exudate produced.
